RICARDO CASERO CONDUCTOR

Spanish conductor Ricardo Casero serves as Musical and Artistic Director of the Orquesta Reino de Aragón, the resident ensemble of the Zaragoza Auditorium.

He has established a distinguished international career as a guest conductor across Europe, Asia and the Americas, collaborating with a wide range of orchestras including the Slovak Philharmonic, National Philharmonic of Ukraine, Armenian Symphony Orchestra, Toledo Symphony (Ohio), Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra, and numerous leading Spanish ensembles such as the Spanish National Orchestra, Bilbao Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Valencian Community.

Casero has appeared in major international venues including the Gran Teatre del Liceu and the Teatro Real, as well as extensively touring in China, performing in leading cultural centres such as the Chongqing Grand Theatre and the Henan Art Center.

He began his conducting career at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia, where he served as assistant conductor and collaborated closely with renowned maestros including Zubin Mehta, Lorin Maazel, Riccardo Chailly and Valery Gergiev.

A Fulbright Scholar, he graduated with highest honours from leading institutions in Spain, the United States and the United Kingdom. Alongside his conducting career, he maintains a strong commitment to pedagogy and has been invited to teach at institutions such as the Juilliard School, Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the Sibelius Academy.

Originally trained as a trombonist, he held principal positions with orchestras including the Madrid Symphony Orchestra, the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra.
