Orquesta Reino de Aragón

The Orquesta Reino de Aragón (ORA) is a leading private Spanish ensemble, founded in 2011 by Sergio Guarné. Since 2013/14, it has been under the artistic direction of Ricardo Casero, and since 2017 serves as resident orchestra of the Zaragoza Auditorium.

The orchestra has given over 200 concerts across eight countries, reaching audiences of more than 200,000, and has established a strong reputation with both public and critics.

ORA has collaborated with internationally renowned conductors including Isaac Karabtchevsky, Marco Boemi, Josep Caballé-Domenech and Álvaro Albiach, and has shared the stage with distinguished artists such as Natalia Gutman, Aldo Ciccolini, Pacho Flores, Ainhoa Arteta, María José Montiel and Carlos Chausson, among many others, as well as leading choral ensembles including the Orfeón Donostiarra and the Orfeón Pamplonés.

Internationally, the orchestra has undertaken major touring projects, notably an extensive tour of the People’s Republic of China — one of the longest tours by a Spanish orchestra — performing 27 concerts over 48 days in major venues across the country. Other international highlights include tours in Germany and Turkey with Sarah Chang, as well as appearances at festivals and venues such as the Halle aux Grains in Toulouse and the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid.

The orchestra’s discography includes several recordings, and its live performances are distributed internationally by Halidon Music, reaching a global audience through digital platforms. Selected concerts are also broadcast across Latin America via Allegro HD.

ORA has also contributed to film music productions, including the soundtracks of La estrella azul, La fuga and Menudas piezas.
